| Topic: Mounting hardware. | | Question | My 4' x 8' 2" oval 15 lb. SF3 sign will be mounted vertically on the roof. The carving depth is 3/4" across the top third, and a lesser depth through the middle. I intend to attach (epoxy & screws) a rectangular framework of 1-1/2" slotted angle on the back, to which the installer can attach his mounting hardware. Should I also provide a backing material, in addition to the angle irons?
| | Answer | Your mounting method sounds more then adequate, I would not see any reason to add additional support.
