| Topic: Fill pinholes | | Question | | What do I use, and how do I use it to fill pinholes and surface dents on the Signfoam? | | Answer | The firs thing you want to do is leave them alone, don’t do anything until you completely finished with all you shaping and machining. Next put on one coat of SignPrime, or any other high build primer. This does tow things that are helpful: First the primer will fill some of the pinholes reducing their size. Second it well prevent those “shiners” that can appear below the paint. After the SignPrime is dry, lightly sand the surface with a 320 wet/dry sandpaper. Next you will want to use a vinyl-based patch compound or any exterior spackle (home depot). Use a putty knife and fill any defects in the surface. Last, yu will lightly sand the patch and spot prime and you are good to go.
